3 Ways to Get Involved at LSS

LSS After School Activities Program began 1/7 and ends 2/11.  There are many interesting and fun courses offered in Session II including yoga and a newspaper club.  There are 160 students enrolled.  Weather permitting Mr. Schmitt will offer snowshoeing as part of the Sports Medley Program.

Auditions for the grade four Drama Club production of The Lion King were held on Tuesday, January 12th.  Rehearsals will be held Monday and Thursday afternoons from 3-4:30.   The performances are scheduled for Wed. April 13 and Thursday, April 14 at 6:30 in our cafeteria. We will once again use a ticketing system.  Tickets for the performances are free and will be available from Ms. Simpson at the front office entrance on Monday, April 11.  Thank you to Dan Hanlon, Stacy Newman and Sheila Allen-Harris for their continued work as directors of the LSS Drama Club.

We have two teams preparing for the Destination Imagination Regional Competition to be held on March 12, 2016 at Sanborn Regional High School in Kingston.  Thank you to volunteers Shelly Gordon and Kate Cook for serving as Team managers for these teams and the parents who are assisting.  These roles require a huge time commitment and I want to thank these folks for coming forward.  They have a lot of work to complete between now and March.
