CMS Principal Finalists Announced

SAU 16 Superintendent Michael Morgan announced today that two New Hampshire educators have been selected as finalists for the Principal position at the Cooperative Middle School (CMS). The position will begin on July 1, 2016.
Ms. Ronna Cadarette, currently an Assistant Principal at Concord High School, has been involved in elementary, middle, and high school education for 29 years. She began her teaching career at Epsom Central School in 1987 and taught at Merrimack Valley Middle School and Bow Memorial School. She began her administrator career as an Assistant Principal at Winnisquam Middle School in 2008 and then became principal at Winnisquam Regional High School in 2009 before moving to Concord High School in 2013.
Ms. Cadarette earned her undergraduate degree from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY. Her graduate studies include a Masters degree from the University of New Hampshire, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) from Plymouth State University, and a Doctor of Arts degree from Franklin Pierce University.
Ms. Patty Wons is currently the Principal of Windham Middle School and is completing her 30th year of teaching and school administration. She began her teaching career in Silver Spring, MD and subsequently taught in Merrimack, Bedford, and Amherst, NH. In 2010 she became the Assistant Principal of Amherst Middle School and served in that role until taking on her current position in 2015.
Ms. Wons earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and her Masters degree from Plymouth State University.
A Public Reception to meet the candidates will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Exeter High School from 5:00 pm to 5:45 pm. The Exeter Region Cooperative School Board will conduct a public interview of each candidate that evening beginning with Ms. Cadarette at 6:00 pm, followed by Ms. Wons at 7:00 pm. Members of the public who attend the interviews will have the opportunity to provide written feedback to the Board regarding each of the candidates.
After the public portion of the meeting, the Board will meet with the Superintendent in non-public session with the goal of selecting the next CMS principal. A public announcement regarding this decision will be made by June 24, 2016.
